I am Oluwaseun Sunmola but everyone calls me Seun. I am an electrical engineer turned growth practitioner. My focus is on early-stage startups especially those in the consumer fintech space, working to scale them.

Previous
- Between 2016 and 2018, I led a social media agency and grew the social media audiences of 33 different brands by a total of 69,659 new followers across all accounts. Here is a link to all the brands I’ve worked within the past and the results of my work with them.
- During this period I also wrote a short book, "The Instagram Sage", on social media growth tactics and organised social media training sessions, where I taught 95 people how to leverage Instagram to grow their businesses.
- But in 2019, I focused more on data analytics, product, performance advertising, and unit economics. Primarily working to understand how consumer platforms grow. I briefly worked for a New York-based startup, LittApp, before joining Binance in May 2020.
- At Binance I work specifically on the Bundle team, which is a social trading app for crypto primarily focused on emerging markets.
- After joining 2 weeks after launch, I worked specifically our user acquisition and community growing our user base to 350,000 users within the first 13 months.
- I also led the growth of our community to 24,000 members within the same time frame. And worked with the product team to improve the user experience, which led us to hit $56 million in monthly transaction volume within the same time frame.
Current
- Moved to the fiat team in September 2022 — worked on optimisations to our fiat channel that led to an increase in our weekly transaction volume by 151% and weekly active cashers by 78% in the last 6 months.
- Setup the onboarding process that has supported the onboarding of 1,315 new merchants to on-ramp and off-ramp transactions for users on our fiat channel.
Other Stuff
Apart from growth, I also enjoy finance and economics. Here’s a video of me and Marcus, a close friend of mine, at the CFO Case Study Competition in Johannesburg.
